hi my two year old got diagnosed with this at her two year check up....i was DEVASTATED to say the least..i thought it was something i did!! was i not wiping her well enough?? she's pretty much potty trained so i never would have known of this condition if it wasnt for her check up...she goes potty on the toilet now so i just need to wipe not open her up and get gunk out of her front part...so with that said the doctor prescribed her a hormonal cream and said to use a qtip and apply pressure along the membrane and it should slowly start thinning out and eventually open up by itself...i too felt as if i was violating my child..i did the cream for about a week at bedtime..and i was by FORCE. which made me extremley unconfortable!! and to see her screaming that way just broke my heart!! since then i have stopped the cream application and just letting it ride out by itself...i'm afraid of traumatizing my child...i feel helpless at this poing!! im afraid i might havet to take her in to get opened up by a doctor!! does any one have any suggestions???

I bought a few newborn clothes when my son was born. Newborn clothes are cheap enough to where it really shouldn't be a problem, but I definitely didn't go overboard knowing that those clothes wouldn't fit for to long.

Breastfeeding is gross. It's horrible to do that to your own body. I don't see any reason why a woman would chose to breastfeed in this day and age.

I'm Ty, and yes, a woman. :-) ok, so for a little more than a couple weeks now, I have been having strange dreams. Every single one of them were about me being pregnant. The thing is, the home tests have been negative. I understand that they may not always be correct, but i haven't gotten a blood test yet, either. My fiance and I are trying to save up for our wedding. Some of the dreams have been nigtmares, but in every one of them, i have either been pregnant or had a baby. One of the first dreams I have had, i babysat for Adele (the singer) it may be because I would love to meet her.. But in the dream, I had to rescue the babies from drowning. The most recent dream I've had was about my ex, and how he told me he was in love with his cousin.... (freaked me out) then the dream changed to my fiance saying that.. And i left him, my friend took me in and i cried because my unborn baby wouldn't have a dad in its life. I have no idea what you can tell me about the dreams, but i need closer on them. Thanks!:)

It makes me sick to hear you all talk about formula like it is such a great thing. Countless studies, as well as common sense, prove that nothing is more natural and beneficial than breast feeding. To not breast feed should be a moral crime, and for you ignorant mothers to tout formula because it makes your life more convenient shows the blatant disregard you have for your own children.

I'm going through this right now myself. My almost 1 year old daughter will NOT take breastmilk or forrmula from a sippy but will happily take some water or diluted juice from one...even different styles of cups. I'm torn over whether or not to keep trying (because it REALLY ticks her off when I do!!) or to just keep things the way they are.
I haven't tried the juice box straw trick yet, though that's a good one. I think I did that with my son and you have just reminded me of it, so thank you!!
