Holly: “Poop”

We’ve had a couple accidents lately in the tub and shower. It seems that Brett has changed her poop schedule a bit.  She used to poop in the morning. Now we seem to get one in the morning and one at night- around bath time…

A couple of weeks ago Brett pooped in the bath.  Not just the time that I have previously written about but another time after that! Then, she pooped in the shower! What, does the warm water relax her???

Last week she started ‘tooting’ in the bath. I said, “do you have to go poop?” and Brett says, “poop!” So, I lift her out of the bath and I sit her on the toilet. I don’t have a potty training seat yet or kiddy rim or anything like that so she is just sitting on the potty. I tell her to push- and she did! She lets quite a few farts roll out but no poop. So, I put her back in the bath. Luckily, she didn’t poop in the tub again.

We have done this a few times now. She knows that she is supposed to push when I put her on the potty.  Also,  when she poops in her diaper she says “poop” when she is done so that we can change her diaper.   Now, I don’t think she is ready for potty training yet but she is definitely showing that she is understanding the concept of going potty.
