Pros:

Allows baby to try foods without the fear of choking

Sometimes it is difficult to open and close the mesh holder

When someone gave this to me during my baby shower I looked at it and wondered when I might use it. I put it away on a shelf and forgot about it. I was going through the cabinets and stumbled upon it. At this point, my daughter was 7 months old and starting to show signs of teething. I washed it and put an ice cube in it and handed it to her. She LOVES it. I think what is best about it for the purpose of putting ice in it, is that the handle doesn’t get cold so the baby can hold onto it without getting icy hands. Also, you don’t have to worry about ice- it melts and then the baby can suck on the water, which my daughter really likes. You can certainly put food in it as well and the mesh protects the baby from getting large pieces in his/her mouth. Try an apple for teething or put a banana or avocado in it for safe, fresh baby food. I highly recommend this product!

I pack these mesh guys with frozen grapes during the teething stages! They love the juice and the coldness on their gums.

I used frozen peas for the teething stage & you don’t have the mess of melting ice. I do have to be careful though. My teething daughter sees it & gets so excited, I can’t get it to her fast enough. Need to be stealth & make sure she doesn’t see it until I have it loaded with peas & ready to hand to her.

I’ve seen replacement mesh pouches for other brands. Do you know if they make replacement ones for this brand? Although, they’re cheap enough to replace if need be.
