Petting Zoo Trip
We had a great trip to a local petting zoo recently. The petting zoo is called Zoomars and is located in San Juan Capistrano (where the swallows return each year). We had been there once before for a birthday party. At the time Brett was about 15 months old and liked looking at the animals but she wasn’t overly interested in them. I hadn’t thought about going there again until I saw the recent Groupon for this same petting zoo. It offered 6 tickets for the price of three. I figured I couldn’t pass that up so I bought the Groupon.
We started with a visit to the bunnies and guinea pigs. I was shocked that she said ‘bunny. touch’ and went right along to pet them. Her (nor I) were too thrilled with the goats- they are aggressive little suckers! We took a train ride and spent quite a bit of time at the playground area that they petting zoo smartly put in. She really liked looking at the horse and pony but her favorite animal of all was a giant tortoise. She literally tried to scale the wall to get in to “touch! touch!”
We had a great time and I’m excited that I have tickets that I’ve already paid for so that we can go back. Maybe next time my hubby will go with us!
