Review:
While I was breastfeeding my daughter there were times that I needed to leave her for more than two hours (she nursed every two hours all 10 months that I breastfed her!). When that time seemed to be approaching I started pumping milk and attempting to give her a bottle. I thought this wouldn’t be a problem but she just wouldn’t take a bottle. I bought four different bottle brands and she just wouldn’t take any of them. Finally, a friend recommended the Playtex Drop-In System. Her kids took those bottles and she thought they were easy to use but that the dark color of the nipple would cause less resistance. She was right- my daughter took it!
Little did I know that Playtex designed this bottle to closely mimic breastfeeding! The nipple is wide and allows the baby to latch on more like they are latching on to the breast. Also, the drop-ins contracts as the baby sucks and allows them to take in just the right amount of milk. My daughter never had a problem with gassiness or spitting up while using these bottles.
I LOVE this bottle for a variety of reasons. First, and foremost, you don’t have to wash bottles. You simply use the drop-in and then throw it away. Plus, the liners are pre-sterilized and are BPA-free!
We used these bottles here and there starting when my daughter was 5-months then exclusively from 10-months to 20-months and I fully intend to use them again with my next baby when I am done breastfeeding.
Overall Rating: (based on 5 palm tree rating system- 5 palm trees is a Mommy Oasis)
