Pros: Fun design that baby likes to look at when crawling on the floor
Cons: The design doesn’t fit in with any home décor and the design is so busy that it is sometimes difficult to spot the food that has been thrown onto it. Also, the mat could be a bit larger.
Review: This was something that I put on my registry but never opened until recently. When you make the switch to rice cereal and purees there isn’t a lot of food flying about. However, when it is time to let the baby start feeding herself food starts flying everywhere. When my daughter is done eating her food she will give us the all-done sign and then start dropping the food over the edge. The mat works great when she drops the food directly down. However, when she gives just a little flick of the wrist, the food quickly misses the mat.
Also, as mentioned above, the design is very cute but because it has so many alligators and trees and leafs, it often disguises the food that has been thrown there and it isn’t until my daughter finds the food hours later that I see it (and then have to get it out of her hands).

I just threw mine away the other day! It got stained from the smashed and dried in food and it ripped!
These also work great when your child becomes a toddler. We use ours on both the table & floor when our toddler does arts & crafts. Ours is actually machine washable which is nice when she paints.
